Aust Visa Interview Guidelines

Visa interview is an important step prior to the final confirmation of student visa approval for most countries including New Zealand. Therefore, it is crucial that you prepare for the interview and address all concerns of the visa officer. The interview is taken by the immigration visa officer who may ask you a range of questions mainly to ensure that your application case is genuine and your intentions align with what is being written in the application form. The officer is a trained professional, who could ask multiple unrelated questions, not to annoy you but to know your real interests and objectives. If you are prepared, you can enjoy this process and meeting with someone who opens the door of a new country for you.

1. Introduction

  •  Your Date of Birth, please know the format: DD/MM/YYYY
  •  Passport number, passport expiry date and issue date
  •  Email ID provided to Immigration New Zealand
  •  Parents Date of Birth
  •  Address Mentioned in Passport
  •  Citizenship Number

2. What are your future plans?

  •  Ensure that you know current approach of Nepal government in the field of your studies, and indicate that you want to be a part of government project and contribute to your country
  • Highlighting the intended area/job title/designation and targeted companies for employment upon returning to home country and expected salary (please note the quoted expected salary should be realistic and based on market/industry trends).
  • Refer your Statement of Purpose on what you have written

  • What is your DOB?
  • Your Passport number?
  • Which University/ College/ Institute are you going to apply? How did you come to know about this University?
  • Why have you selected this University/ College/ Institute?
